Melanotan II (Balco Labs) or melanotan 2 (MT 2) is an analogue of the peptide hormone alpha-melanocyte stimulation hormone (a-MSH). The MSHs contribute to pigmentation and also play a role as a hypothalamic saturation signal. It has also been shown that melanocortins play a role in lipolysis of adipocytes, in heat control, in sexual function and in perception. In addition, leptin partially exerts its effect by activating the melanocortin system in the brain. Furthermore, the MCRs (melanocortin receptors) to which MTII binds play a key role in human eating behavior. Melanotan II is a sterile, pyrogen-free, white lyophilized powder which is reconstituted with sterile water for injection for subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
A typical dosage range is 0.5 to 2.0 mg / day, with a preferred range of 0.5 to 1.0 mg / day
However, it is best to first evaluate tolerance at a lower dose of 0.25 mg to 0.50 mg. The first dose should be just 0.25 mg to assess the response of the user's body.
